World Mental Health Day

World Mental Health Day is held on the 10th October each year. Each year we hold an event, often in partnership with other voluntary sector organisations. In 2007, we held an information and art exhibition in a shop in Times Square shopping centre, and we took part in an exhibition in the Europa Gallery in Sutton Library. We were visited by Paul Burstow, MP for Sutton and Cheam, and Dr. Brendan Hudson, Deputy Mayor of Sutton.

In 2008, we held an exhibition at the Europa Gallery in Sutton Library, from Tuesday 7th to Sunday 12th October, 2008. We also featured pictures, information and stories from our local Traveller communities. Paul Burstow MP visited us, and staff, volunteers and people who use our services were there on Friday 10th October 2008. We were pleased to be able to talk to people, pass on information about various aspects of mental health and offer free shoulder massages.

In 2009 we will be holding an open day at the drop-in. More details about "Open Door - pathway to wellbeing" will be posted soon.
